Zhecun Shi was a famous modern writer Shanghai in the 1930s.In his ten-years creation period(1926-1936),Zhecun Shi had published five novel collections.They were lantern lights,head of sir,one rainy evening,kind of women and Xiao Zhen.These five novel collections have different stylistic features,such as Lyric,Realistic,Surreal etc.Some were written in new and unique way-old tales retold,psychoanalysis and legendary.They also contained a lot of topics-rural/urban,romantic/secular,conscious/unconscious etc.Multiple emotions-such as western,Chinese indigenous,harmonious,abnormal,perceptual,rational etc.-were expressed by these works.With so many lyrical elements in Zhecun Shi's novels.The contents of three parts of this paper can be summarized as follows:The first part includes the definitions of the conception of lyricism and the scope of the research.This part explains the concept of lyricism in Chinese culture context and determines the discussion objects in those novels by summarizing the intension and extension of lyricism.After analyzing the domestic and international studies on this proposition,the content and frame of this paper are finally established.The second part involves three chapters of the paper.The first chapter focuses on the lyricism of Zhencun Shi's local novels.They are titled as "the Poetry of Memory and Poetic Style of Later Tang Dynasty","Idyll and Elegy","Love,Lyric and Legend".The second chapter analyzes the lyrical elements of his urban novels,including "Foreign Tone and Local Tradition","The Flaneur and Kind Women" and "Blues,Depression and Dream".Based on Shi's literature experience,the last chapter discusses the modernity of his literary thoughts and artistic techniques,also including the traits of erotic and grotesque.The last part summarizes the paper and points out the "Change" and"Constant" in Shi's novels.The "Change" is his continual innovation on the fiction styles.The "Constant" is the perpetual theme of humanity in his novels.And it's Shi's self-supervision that makes what he wrote and who he was.
