How to break gender stereotypes? The domestic and foreign researchers have paid attention to the issue.Review the foreign literatures,there have been many researchers began to explore the causes of gender stereotypes,and the solution.On the one hand,although the stereotype has certain rationality,but its negative effects cannot be ignored.Because its accuracy is not high,often Overgeneralization,and very stubborn,it is difficult to change.On the other hand,people's gender stereotypes on the instruments is lead people to lose the opportunity to try every kind of musical instrument,or even lose their new jobs.This paper based on the theory of sociology,psychology and other disciplines,using quantitative research identifies the author's two assumptions: first,the differences between the music professional learners and the music non-professional learners is the degree of gender stereotypes;Second,the differences between the men and the women is the degree of gender stereotypes.The author attempts to explore the factors that affecting people's stereotype,that is based on Mr.Brown Brenner's theory of ecological system,and the quantitative research is combined with the qualitative research.The data and results of individual interview information show that the degree of individual's gender stereotypes is different.The author attempt to ascribe this state to individual's cognitive level on each kind of different instruments.The results showed that there are four the influence factors of the individual cognitive about instruments,such as family,school,peers,and media.Finally,in order to alleviate gender stereotypes,the author trying to take these four factors as a starting point,to create a good musical learning atmosphere.
