In recent years, gender stereotypes have attracted wide attention from researchers. When predecessors explored the gender stereotypes of children in the dimension of competence and warmth, they found that girls will have smart gender stereotypes of boys when they are 6 years old."Boys are smarter than girls" gender stereotypes can affect girls' behavior, but China's research on the gender stereotypes of school-age children and their impact on behavior in the dimension of competence and warmth are few,and school age is a key period for the development of children's gender roles. Therefore, studying the gender stereotypes of school-age children is of great significance for promoting the healthy development of school-age children's gender roles;some studies have shown that school-age children's competence concept will be actively strengthened, and encouragement will enhance children's self-confidence and self-competence identification. Therefore, based on the existing research, this study uses picture selection, game selection, and positive reinforcement to explore the gender stereotypes of school-age children and their impact on game selection behavior. In Study one,326 children aged 4-7 were selected as the research object, and the image selection method was used to investigate the gender stereotypes of children aged 4-7.The results of the study found that the same-sex smart scores and same-sex friendship scores of 4-7 year old girls are higher than that of boys. There are significant differences between 5 year old,6 year old,and 7 year old,and there is no significant difference between 4 year old;4 year old,5 year old,7 year old Year-old boys have a positive correlation in competence and warmth choices, girls over 4 years old have no correlation in competence and warmth choices. In study two,303 children aged 4-7 years were taken as the research objects and the method of game selection was adopted to explore the influence of gender stereotype on the choice of smart games and hard play among school-age children aged 4-7 years.Compared with boys, ghis tended to choose smart games, but the difference was not significant. In study three,154 ghis aged 4-7 years were selected as the research objects, and female intelligence stories and videos were used to implement reinforcement,to explore whether positive reinforcement has an impact on girlsf choice of games. The results showed that girls were affected by reinforcement at the age of 4 and 7.There was a positive correlation between competence and warmth among girls aged 4,5 and 7.There was no significant difference between the gkls before and after reinforcement. The research shows that the following five conclusions are drawn:(1)Children have gender stereotypes of high competence and warmth for girls and low competence and warmth for boys.(2)Compared with girls, boys are more related to competence and warmth when choosing the dimension of competence and warmth.(3)Gender stereotypes have no effect on boys and girls' game selection behavior.(4)The gender stereotypes of girls are affected by reinforcement at the ages of 4 and 7.Positive strengthening strengthens the connection between girls'competence and warmth.(5)Reinforcement will not affect the behavior of girls' game selection.
