Study On The Art Characteristics Of The Moon Over A Fountain

The Moon over a Fountain is a glaring star in the history of China folk music which is well known both nationally and internationally.This paper expresses the personal understanding and analysis of the art characteristics of The Moon over a Fountain.There have been many editions and arrangements for playing this very tune since composed in 1950.But the most significant edition is the origin one recorded by Hua Yanjun himself.Hundreds of papers and researches on the tune were published.In order to understand the emotion and the flavor of the tune deeply and thoroughly,I have read and learned quite a few literatures on the tune.Based on which,this paper will analyze the background of composition,the art value and the nationality of this decades enduring classic tune with great oriental charm.My aim is to learn un--remitting exploration and innovative thinking from the predecessors and to exercise the superb performance skills from the excellent performers by doing this study.
