The Value Connotation Of Laoism

Generally speaking,contemporary scholars,who doing researches ontheory of Laoism,are mainly about ontology,epistemology,andmethod o-logy.These researches can present the problemes:Laoism is about the origins of the universe,the universe generated schema category,and people used the methods to know the Laoism.But,in recent years,Laoism research has a new breakthrough and trend,which is focus on the value connotation of Lao-tse.In this paper,the author thinks that the way of the Lao zi is closely related to social life,the Laoism embodies a kind of dialectical thinking.The value connotation of the Laoism contains the following four aspects:the Laoism with the desire,the Laoism with the interpersonal relationship,the Laoism with the social governance,the Laoism with the relationship of nature.In simple terms,these four aspects can be generalized undesire,selfless,nonaction and the way to follow the nature.Undesire means that desire must be ruled by human nature,rather than let the desire control the heart;selfless,is to eliminate the self center position,and to care for every life;nonaction,prefers not to impose the will of the individual self to others,comply with each individual demands of life,rather than say and do nothing.The method of natural,is conformed to the nature,and respect the space of natural things,in order to realize the harmonious existence between man and natural tjings.This article contains these four aspects to illustrate the value connotation of Laosim.
