Study On The Main Idea Of Geumo Sinhwa

Kim Si-seup was a famous philosopher,poet and novelist in North Korea in the 15th century.His bumpy life and.spark of thoughts were a mirror of history and valuable national cultural heritage.Maewoldan g Kim Si-seup was born in Sejong 17th year,and went through the reign of three Kings,namely King Duanzong,King Sejong and King Ruizong.Owing to the interactive influence of Confucianism and Buddhism,Kim Si-seup,he is a not only a scholar with exceptional sentiments,but also has features of ordinary beings.He had to give in to the depres sing reality,and depicted vividly in works.Kim Si-seup,a true grea t litterateur in the Korean history of literature,passed away at the age of 59.As,for Kim Si-seup,literature might be the only medium for the e xchange of thoughts to get rid of the depressing reality,as well as a carrier which may reflect his subjective ideals.His works mainly i nclude Collection of Maewoldang Poems,Narrative Records of Maewoldan g Poems,Theory of Tai Chi,Comprehension of Saddharmapundarika Sutra,Understanding of Metaphysics,and Geumo Sinhwa etc.Geumo Sinhwa,a collection highlighted the miserable times and so ciety in which Kim Si-seup was born,revealed the violence and injust ice of Sejo regime,and Kim' s disappointment of the reality.As a re sult,he chose to live a wandering life,and explore his ultimate val ue of life.Geumo Sinhwa was a legendary novel in Classical Chinese a bout ghost,Dragon Palace and gods.The reason why Geumo Sinhwa was p opular was that it was the earliest novel collection in Classical Chi nese in the Korean history of literature.In this paper,with the five articles of the legendary novel Geum o Sinhwa as the research objects,the main idea of Kim' s novel and h is awareness of social criticism are illustrated.This paper is struc tured as follows:Chapter one introduces the research objective and significance,a nd early research achievements of Geumo Sinhwa.Chapter two analyzes the early socio-cultural background of North Korea and social political ideology of Kim Si-seup.Chapter three discusses the main idea tendency reflected by five articles of Geumo Sinhwa specifically.Chapter four summarizes the whole paper.
