The Artistic Characteristics Of Xiao Hong's Prose

Xiao Hong is one of women writers with the outstanding achievements in the 20 th century of China's literary history.She built up her own emotional hut with words,pouring out willingness and unwillingness in her life.Prose and novels are the wings which make her fly freely in the literary world.Even under the impact of the times,she still shows the unique personality consciousness of creation.Xiao Hong's novels focus on showing the bitterness of the real life,while her prose restores the real impression of herself,recording her life track and also delivering the underlying elegies and voices of women in times of uncertainty.This thesis is given priority to with the text analysis,mainly from the following several parts:The introduction analyzes the focus and existing academic circles in recent years on Xiao Hong's prose studies.On the basis of grasping and understanding of Xiao Hong's prose research status,it explains the scope and ideas of the research.The first chapter mainly uses “hungry” and “homesickness”as the subject headings.It discusses from two aspects: the individual survival plight and the memory of hometown in exile experience,and focuses on analyzing the concrete penetration of Xiao Hong's personal life experience at the bottom of the society,female gender experience and her emotional understanding of “home” in her prose,with which to highlight her prose' personal qualities on the subjects.The second chapter mainly analyzes the poetic language of Xiao Hong ' s prose.From three aspects that are words ' free combination,natural and fresh rhetoric language,artistic conception mixed with “I”,this part looks for the poetry behind Xiao Hong's natural prose language.The third chapter discusses the narrative means in Xiao Hong's novels.The flexible conversion of the first-person and third-person narrative point of view,the complete plot of the story and the utilization of all kinds of techniques of expression greatly enriched Xiao Hong's narrative forms,and also make it no clear stylistic boundaries between Xiao Hong's prose and novels.Based on the former three chapters,the fourth chapter explores Xiao Hong's prose in the context of the development of modern literary prose.It shows further understanding of the unique character and valua of Xiao Hong's prose from the comparative perspective.Xiao Hong's prose is another presentation of“Xiao Hong Style”,with the common creation features of modern women prose and the northeast writers prose and showing the irreplaceable individual character color.The conclusion part summarizes the art characteristic of Xiao Hong's prose,analyzes the reasons why her prose was ignored by the academia,objectively points out the limitation of Xiao Hong's prose,and expects academia to give her prose more comprehensive understanding.
