Recently, the study of ancient Egyptian social life has always been an important issue,and social classes or groups are debated. Nedjes is a dynamic social group, formed at the end of the Old Kingdom and mainly acted until the beginning of the New Kingdom. Therefore,this paper intends to summarize the literature from the original literature, and uses the principles of sociology as a theoretical support to reconstruct the living conditions of that special groups in the ancient Egyptian society.For this reason, this article introduce the etymology of Nedjes and explores its social relations, the status of occupation and wealth, social role, social position, social stratification and social mobility, and analysis the process of the development of Nedjes from a social group to be a representative of a social class. At the same time, this article also discusses the predecessor and development of Nedjes,and finds that Nedjes is a representative of the social middle class in the period from 2686 to 1550 BC. It also analyzes the development process of Nedjes in all directions, from the social relations of individuals to the country; in the social field, from economy and culture to the political and military field regarding the individual development from a group to the class; in respect of social structure, from a static social role and social status to a dynamic social mobility.Thus, it uses the study of the ancient Egyptian social structure and social stratum as the starting point, to reconstruct the ancient Egyptian social conditions during the period from 2686 to 1550 BC.
