As a writer,Cao Naiqian is below the average of domestic first-class writers,regardless in literature awards or in quality of his novels.However,Cao naiqian——who is from Shanxi village——describes the poor life of Yanbei prefecture truthfully,formed a distinctive feature,independent style.He is highly praised by foreign scholars,has been a hot figure in domestic literary academia.However,as a representative of writers who are more well-known in foreign than in China,Cao naiqian is little known nationally,the positioning and evaluation is quite different.There is not a published book about Cao naiqian yet,the masters and doctors theses related to Cao naiqian is less than 10,obviously,the attention and research is not enough.This article will take Cao naiqian wen kiln series works as an example,make the desire theme of Cao naiqian's novels as the breakthrough point.The paper focus on the artistic features of expression of desire theme of people's survival condition and in the theme.This paper is divided into three chapters.Chapter one: desire theme and character image.Classify the character image according to appetite and sexual desire,lust for power.Review the survival status of the characters under different categories;Chapter two: theme expression and artistic features.Through the study of Cao naiqian's works,discuss the concept of reality and fiction,analysis the characteristics and advantages of minimalist expression in dialect.To show the original ecology style.Chapter three: the value and limitation of Cao naiqian's novels.Combine with the external views and the works of Cao naiqian and the furure creation.Analysis the value of Cao naiqian's works,explain the limitations and disputes,and explore the ultimate direction of Cao naiqian's novels——the resistance in another way.
