A Comparative Study Of Cao Naiqian And Li Rui’s Novels

This paper, taking " There’s Nothing I Can Do When I Think of You Late atNight " and "Thick Earth" as an example, compares the Cao Naiqian and Li Rui’snovel creation. The performance of the two works are sixties and seventies of the20thcentury in shanxi rural status of peasants’ lives. Similar subject matter, more canreflect the similarities and differences between the authors on the writing. We mainlyfrom the narrative characteristics of characters and ideological content three aspects tocompare. On the language, Cao Naiqian pure shanxi dialect in his writing, and Li Ruiis taste local literati. On the narrative techniques, both good at carving detail, useenvironment description to foil atmosphere, to shape characters with psychologicaldescription, righteousness of animals used to foil a person’s heart, but the authors useway and different. On the character image, the two works are the age GuangGunHanimage, keep not scratch timid man image, and the rural elite image of the oppressedvillagers. But for the image of the performance and each has its own characteristics.On the ideological content, both showed that the people of the land, mental andphysical double troubles, but they have different reflection Angle.
