Opposite Compounds because of its own particularity,Not only occupies a special position in Chinese vocabulary at the same time it is of great value in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.In the process of overview about the relevant research,we find that the study of opposite compounds focus on the aspect of essence research,rarely involve the field of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.Accordingly,we collected 249 opposite compounds from the modern Chinese Dictionary as research object in this paper.From the semantic,structural,grammatical functions of three angles to investigation.And through the questionnaire to investigate the acquisition of foreign students.Finally,make discourse about teaching level based on the findings above.We study divided into the following six parts.Chapter one:The introduction clarifies the origin of the topic,the researching object,methods and the corpus’ s source of the study.This part explains the research content and purpose of this paper through the macro level.Chapter two: This part mainly arrange the existing research results from the four aspects and make a brief review,in order to clarify the development of research in the field,then put forward the significance of this study accordingly.Chapter three: In order to make a comprehensive analysis of the meaning of the opposite compounds and acquire a better understanding,this part conduct investigation from three different angles including semantic types、structural features and grammatical functions.Chapter four: This part investigates the situation of foreign students’ acquisition of opposite compounds by means of a written questionnaire,then analysis of the problem and restrictive factors of foreign students’ acquisition of opposite compounds.Chapter five: On the basis of the above research,we put forward the corresponding teaching suggestions and teaching strategies to the teaching of Chineseas a foreign language.Chapter six: Finally,this paper summarizes the research,and put forward the deficiencies of the paper.
