Analysis Of Du Guangting's Calligraphy Art

Du Guangting was the leader of the Five Dynasties Daoism in late Tang Dynasty,he was also a calligrapher,his script had not been handed down but no one could surpass him.He also summarized and sorted out Yunzhuan,which had a complete system about seal character.This article by describing Du Guangting's living environment,the experience of the Taoist priest,the art of calligraphy style and the single word of Yunzhuan,trying to reproduce the social and historical environment at that time,more in-depth analysis of the reasons for his formation of a unique style of calligraphy and the achievements of calligraphy.This paper mainly described from three aspects,including Du Guangting and Du Guangting works of art,Du Guangting's regular script research,Du Guangting seal script(Yun Zhuan)works,using religious studies method,literature research method and the organon of image studied with multi dimension.The first was the religious studies method: from the perspective of history,this paper expounded the development and evolution from the Tang Dynasty to the five generation of calligraphy,and Taoism spread in this period,achieved the unity of history and logic;from the perspective of sociology,this paper analyzed Du Guangting's experience and the reason why Du Guangting could become the social leader of the late Tang Dynasty,critically the war hindered the development of art and recognized Du Guangting's inheritance and development of Taoist Culture;from the perspective of philosophy and psychology,the paper focused on the analysis the influence of Taoist about the doctrines of Taoism,and the psychological impacted on the calligraphy creation,by using the method of documentation,we could achieve the unity of reference materials,viewpoints and research methods;from the perspective of culture,the Taoist calligraphy and character through unity made the Taoist doctrine of entities in the art of calligraphy.Furthermore,literature research method: the combination of a large number of Taoist scriptures,ancient books and historical materials,made a comprehensive analysis of the literatureand carefully,to drew some reliable conclusions.The last is the image study method:This paper through the researched on the comparison and analysis of the Tang Dynasty to the Five Dynasties rubbings,inscriptions,paintings and other relics,as far as possible to restored the Tang and Five Dynasties Taoist calligraphy of the original style,to helped more comprehensive understanding of Du Guangting's Taoist calligraphy artistic value and social significance.In a word,Du Guangting was a master of Taoist thought,he was also a important trailblazer who develop the new Taoist calligraphy,his Taoist calligraphy art played a connecting role in the Tang and Song Dynasties.
