The female subjectivity has always attracted people's attention in female research with focus on female subject consciousness and a wide range of areas including politics,literature and art.Since the reform and opening-up,with in-depth development of female consciousness in China,female researches get extremely popular mainly in fields of literature,art,sculpture and behavior device,while when it comes to dance,writing seems to be fewer and fewer.What is female dance?What could be considered as choreographer ' s female subject consciousness?Is there choreographer with feminism in China?Why do so many female choreographers(for example Pina Bausch,Wang Mei)refuse to admit that they are characterized by feminism?As for female choreography and dance of feminism,there are lots of problems which seem to seize our minds......Therefore,this paper will reflect in step with these problems and premised on feminism theories of Simone de Beauvoir and Iris Marion Young to combine body conception of Michel Foucault,Merleau-Ponty and Richard Shusterman so as to put forward this concept of subjectivity expression of female choreographer in works of modern dance from three angles(the feminism,the body view,the subjective consciousness)and expound connotation and meaning of its subjective thoughts,also this paper chooses one Chinese female choreographer(Wang Mei)and her modern dance works as practical research object,the above three aspects(feminism,body consciousness,subjective consciousness)as the theoretical basis to analysis the manifestations of female subject expression in Wang Mei' s works,respectively with the concept of topic,body language,choreography ideas of three modules of the analysis.Based on the dancing female body as the starting point,the first module in concept of topic analysis female images from three dimensions of the individual experience,gender relations and relation of the same sex,clear the topic idea of internal and external impetus;in the second module of body language,with the Laban's theory of "effect" and Delsarte expressive system as the basis and guidance,analyzes the specific manifestations of the dancing female body from three aspects,woman's solo dance,dance between men and women,women dance.The second module echoes the first module,and further analyzes the female images in Wang Mei' s works and strengthens the expression of its subjectivity.Finally in the third module of choreography ideas,creatively put forward the inter-subjectivity consciousness to explain why Wang Mei refuse to admit that she is characterized by feminism,and pointed out two characteristics in Wang Mei' s modern dance works.This paper aims to grasp the formation process of female choreographic subjectivity and its expression embodied in Wang Mei's modern dance works so as to explore one new idea and feasible approach for China's female choreographer.
