| There are a lot of tradional texts about Zi xia,who is one of famous Seventy Confucian students.As Chen Yushu said,a schoolar in Qing Dynasy,the reason why the study of Confucianism in Han Dynasty is prosperous owe to Zi Xia.His personally teaching makes Confucianism pass down from generation to generation.This paper is focused on Zi Xi's hometown and his family and his personal life as well as his teaching.This paper has four parts.In the introduction,Seventy Confucian students and the meaning of study of them is introduced.There also is an introduce of Zi Xia and the meaning of him.Meanwhile,documents unearthed bring convenience to people for study.The first part describes Zi Xia's family and his age as well as his personal life.The second part describes social changes behind the phenomenon of his abandoning his official career.When the ritual culcure goes bankrupt,people have to change their lifestyle from learning the rite system of Zhou Dynasty to make the country rich and its military force efficient,which is the reason why Zi Xia refused to start his official career.The third part describes Zi Xia teaching the Six Confucian Classics,which makes a difference to the study of Confucianism of Han Dynasty.Reader who reads this part may have a particular impression of Zi Xia playing an important role in Confucian culture.The fourth part is affected by the third part,because the third part illustrates that the study of Confucianism is hard to learn.In today's society with a craze for Chinese culture,the way of learning Confucianism correctly is of great importance.It is dangerous for someone to learn Confucianism without any teachers.There are some principles for learning Confucian texts.First,the knowledge of Confucianism is different from others,therefore learner should be guided by old teacher.Second,don't explain Confucian texts as one pleases.In a word,this article is aimed at establishing an image of Zi Xia from four parts in order to help readers understand Zi Xia more easily. |
