A Study On The Women' Studies About The Novel "Four Reigns"

Four Reigns is a realistic novel of Thailand famous writer,Kukrit Pamoic.The novel takes the life of Perot Yi in feudal aristocracy as the clue,shows a surge high and sweep forward historical picture of Bangkok Dynasty from King V to King VIII and is an encyclopedic work called the "Dream of Red Mansions" in Thailand.The novel successfully created typical female image of Perot Yi in the feudal aristocracy,and created many vivid,three-dimensional women with different personality.This paper sorts out and analyzes the female characters in the book,and conducts research on these images of women from the femaleology perspective,to examine the women's survival state in that era,and justify the suppress suffered by women.The first chapter of this paper introduces the author of Four Reigns and his other work,then the second chapter analyzes the female characters in the novels one by one,and classify their classes.The third chapter will analyze the female characters from the Women's studies perspective,including the feudal morals standard perfect image,feudal society victim,dares to revolt against the feudal ethics,female consciousness gradually awakening etc.The fourth chapter analyzes the reasons of the images of these female from the social history,social culture and female personality three aspects,summarized the author Kukrit Pamoic's attitude toward the women.
