Chinese Modern Female Writers Of The Image Of Women Change Research

At the birth of Chinese modern literature, Chinese society saw the transition from the old to the new, which triggered the female's anxiety to their identities. In the period of the May 4th New Cultural Movement, the female realizes their personal capacities and rights under the protection of the male elites. The dualism of female writing is determined under this special context. In this period, the female intellectuals desperately need to reorganize genders to make sure the difference between the male and the female. Then, the settings and the images that the female writers made for themselves are decided by two aspects. The first is that it is restricted by the traditional patriarchal society's rules. So that they have to repress their actual life needs and experiences, following the main stream's directions and the rhythms to embrace the desires of the man and to adjust their writings. The female conduct actively on the grand topics of the enlightenment, revolution, nationality, and the nation, to fight back the peripherization and objectification by male chauvinism and to build female's cultural identity in history and in reality.With nationality survive crisis growing, and the migration of the intellectuals'status, the gap between female's self-reputation and their actual state. The female writers reflect their anxiety of this gap to their works'female images, that is to say, their portraying of Chinese modern female roles keeps up with the times. Through the modeling and the explanation of the female images; the portraying of new female intellectuals, the female from the bottom of the society and female warriors; and the change in female'family status, the female writers find their self-liberation road, in the literature domain, which is a concourse of female liberation and nationality liberation, expecting that the female can achieve self-control and self-construction. It is because the female gain the right of speech and the capacity of expression, attending the reproducing and the construction of the female identity, as well as the possibility of fixing the misunderstanding and distorting to the female images by the male writer, that the whole society's acknowledgement of female images changed. At this point, the extent of modeling female images by modern female writers is a self-liberation searching experience of themselves as well.This paper focus on the female images modeling by the modern female writers, doing researches on the significance of female liberation in close reading, to show the channel of female self-liberation, and to explore the relationship between female-liberation and nationality-liberation.
