During the early days of the founding of new China, the urgency to consolidate the new regime puts the transformation of society into the agenda. As the main heritage of imperialism,Catholicism becomes an area the new regime needs to be reformed, because of its close connection with imperialism and opposed ideology.Taking into account the failure of the Soviet Union and the stubborn resistance, the CPC did not divide the Catholicism into the opposite, but to allow Christians in the freedom of religion under the principle of its transformation, and launched the three independent reform of religious circles. In order to promote the development of the three independent reform, the CPC formulated its own religious policy.Whether it is "not openly opposed, not actively support" policy, which is the mainstream of the new China,or after the founding of new China "proactive and not openly opposed " policy, all provides a good guide for the development of the Catholic movement. This has accelerated the full development of the Catholic reform movement. The initiation of the Korean War and the oppression of the situation at home and abroad has made the new regime more important to the development of the Catholic reform movement. Not only from the organization to establish innovative organizations to better guide the reform movement, but also from the practice to effectively eliminate the anxiety of the believers, and on this basis to take over the authorities in China, the expulsion of foreign missionaries.Part of the patriots started a positive cooperation.Through the development of the reform movement, the new regime implanted its influence into the Catholic Church, not only to eliminate the influence of imperialism,to consolidate the new regime, but also to strengthen the national ideology on the religious field. There also have been some deviations in the process of the reform movement, such as the bias of propaganda and its policies, which have hindered the smooth development of the reform movement, but the breadth of its promoter and the flexibility of policy adjustment And so on the development of modern religion great benefit.
