The Creation In Chen Yingsong's Novels Of Social Realism In New Century

The contemporary literature in the new century,Chen Yingsong is one of the writers who is worthy of attention in Jing Chu now.His poems,essays and novels,including commentary articles are written with their own characteristics.In terms of novels,there are different subjects,such as Water Country Series,Plain Series,Shennongjia Series and Jingzhou Series.Chen Yingsong establishes the status in the history of Chinese contemporary literature by the novels of Shennongjia Series,Shennongjia for Chen Yingsong as Xiangxi for Shen Congwen.In the 21 st century,The science,technology,society,and other aspects are in high-speed development in our country.Along with these developments,social life has different changes,such as the changes of rural life,changes in the ecological environment and social changes which have given Chen Yingsong a lot of creative inspiration and motivation,.He absorbs much of nutrition from life,and reflects the current social reality by the power of words,expressing his inner emotion.His novels are based on social life which the outstanding feature are describing the social reality and social status.He also has different perspectives on social realism,such as the perspective of social focus news and events,the perspective of government officials and the authority mechanism,the perspective of animal narration,the perspective of ecological environment and the perspective of disadvantaged groups in the social bottom.Although the perspective of writing is different,it indicates all aspects of our life,so that his novels have a strong social realism.This paper is divided into three main parts: introduction,conclusion and the main body.In the introduction part,the main research objects,research status and main research contents are described.The main part is divided into five chapters.In the first chapter,we start from Chen Yingsong's novels “Ma Siling murder event”,“Roll-hook” and “Why jays tweet” as research texts,that creative background and social hot issues as the guide,and restore the real scene about the social focus news and events which reflects Chen Yingsong's attitude in the realistic and truth-seeking,also reflects the deep realities of social problems,and reflects Chen Yingsong's concern for real life,thought and solicitude,mirroring the sensitivity on the real life of Chen Yingsong.The second chapter starts from the novels “A Man's Encounter”,“Ancestral Graves” and “Roar Autumn” as the research texts,pursuing fair and justice and describing bad work behavior in a ironic way,also criticizing the current social malpractice and unreasonable phenomenon,especially criticizing the “four wind”of officials,the government administration has not fulfilled its duties,the fairness and justice of the judicial system,the working style and principle of the police and infringement of others' privacy,consumption and misrepresentation.The third chapter starts from the novels “Taiping Dog ”,“Leopard's Last Dance” and “Revival of Soul” as the research texts,and the perspective of animals narration and souls narration as the starting point which promoting transposition thinking,expressing the concept of respect to life and refracting human shortcomings,affirming the value of the main body about life,expressing the feelings of life and death,also a deep thinking on the dignity of life,and the true meaning.The forth chapter starts from the novels “Clouds Over The Cliff ”,“Grass Swing Alone” and “Pastoral” as the research texts,writing with the environment and personal experience,reflecting and re-examining the ecological relationship between man and nature,humanity and nature,calling for kindness to the nature and returning to the harmony,the ecological ideas of awe-inspiring nature,treating animals and thanksgiving the earth,reflecting the strong ecological consciousness and ecological responsibility.The fifth chapter starts from the novels “Mother”,“Eight Mile Anecdotes” and “Wild Cat Lake” as research texts,focusing on the circumstance of disadvantaged group in the social bottom,especially minors,single-parent women and the elderly,describing the cruel and real life in a direct writing and expressing humanistic concern by the writer's responsibility,always concerning about living conditions,living environment and life status on the disadvantaged groups of the social bottom,crying and endorsing for them,to defend their basic right.The last part summarizes the five writing perspectives of Chen Yingsong's novels,showing the description of social reality in Chen Yingsong's novels which is not only informal on the surface but also deep into all aspects of life.Meanwhile,the social realism embodied in the novel is also one of the factors of success,making people pain.
