China Federation of Literary and Art Circles(CFLAC)is the leading group in the realm of Chinese literature and art,and is the most famous cultural organizations with the highest political position in China.CFLAC was formed under the leadership of the Communist Party of China,based on the left-wing literary societies,the Yan'an literary societies and the National literary society during the Anti-Japanese War,.The organizational foundation of CFLAC can be traced back to the Chinese League of Left-Wing Writers,and Yan'an literary societies developed from the Chinese League of Left-Wing Writers,accumulated organizational experience of literary and artistic work and trained literary and artistic talent.The initial integration of literati in KMT-controlled areas,provided a more extensive dependent strength for the founding of CFLAC.The founding of CFLAC,is also the embodiment of the cultural united front of the Communist Party of China,especially the "cultural army"(wenhua jundui)strategy in the realm of literature and art.Through the leadership and organization of the First National Congress of Chinese literary and art workers,CPC contributed to the linking up of the "Literary Armys" in the Liberated Areas and the KMT-controlled Areas.The primary cause of the founding of CFLAC by CPC is to realize the combination of "cultural army" and armed force(wuhua jundui),and to win the victory of revolution and construction,through the organization and combination of literary field to form a "cultural army".One of the main features of CFLAC is the embodiment of the United Front led by CPC in the realm of literature and art.CFLAC is the product of history,and has rationality of its existence.At present,to solve the problems in the development of CFLAC,we should further improve the function of Literary Federation,to establish the long-term mechanism of CFLAC to go down to grass-roots units,and so on.
