Since the beginning of the new century,the number of Chinese domestic films whose themes are about the real life is increasing and the contents become more rich,which include city life,farmers' life,army life and campus life.In this study,the current development status is introduced.And then,the Chinese domestic realistic films in the new century are divided into four types,which are about city life,farmers' life,army life and campus life.Next,under the grip of each type's characteristics,the ideological and artistic achievements of the Chinese domestic realistic films in the new century are summarized.Simultaneously,some common problems of Chinese domestic realistic films in the new century are demonstrated and summarized.To be specific,the introduction mainly explained the object,content,meaning of the study,and the research method and procedure in this study were combed and summarized.The first section divides the Chinese domestic realistic films in the new century into four types according to the location of the story in the film.Both the realistic films' generalities and the personality characteristics of all the four types films are analyzed and discussed.In the second section,the ideological and artistic achievements of the Chinese domestic realistic films in the new century are discussed and summarized.After the analyses of some excellent films,the study finds that the theme dimensions become various and the characters achieve depth development.Moreover,the film narrative structure innovate.All the achievements provide valued experience for the further development of Chinese domestic realistic films.In the third section,three big regrets of Chinese domestic realistic films are analyzed and pointed.To be specific,the first regret is absence of authenticity about the reveal of social reality.The second regret is the absence of human concern because of the suspension of moral standards.And the last one is lack of innovation in art form.Therefore,the three regrets could offer somewarnings to the further development of Chinese domestic realistic films.Epilogue over-viewed the current situation and development tendency of Chinese domestic realistic films in the new country,and it could draw some inspirations that the realistic films should face up to the social reality without scruple and chose social sensitive issues bravely.And the realistic films should also reveal the ugliness in society and the complicated and changeable of humanity to arouse public concern and reflection.
