Robert Rauschenberg And Chinese Contemporary Art | | Posted on:2018-08-13 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:L H Jia | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2335330518469183 | Subject:Fine Arts | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | As the representative painter of “New Dadaism” and the pioneer of “Pop Art”,Rauschenberg is one of the most innovative and prolific artists in the international art area.In 1985,“Rauschenberg Modern Art Exhibition” held in the Chinese Art Museum shocked the Chinese Artists and had a profound influence on Chinese art.From then on,Rauschenberg has been regarded as “the American Enlightenment Master in Chinese Contemporary Art”.This thesis intends to discuss the relationship between Rauschenberg and Chinese contemporary art.First,beginning with the art style and oversea communication activities of Rauschenberg,the thesis talks about his meaning and value towards contemporary arts and hopes to find out the internal relations between his art and Chinese contemporary art.Second,the thesis elaborates Rauschenberg’s twice visiting experiences and the spread of his thoughts in China and also analyzes his art from the aspects of art ideas liberation and art form innovation.Besides,the thesis also illustrates his concrete influences and inspirations towards the formation and development of Chinese contemporary art.Third,the thesis mainly talks about the cultural displacement questions existed in Rauschenberg and Chinese contemporary art represented by the “nameless painting” from two aspects: the first is that the birth of Rauschenberg art is the result of the interaction between history necessities and coincidence;the second is that the emergence of Chinese contemporary art is the combination product of Chinese politics,culture,thoughts and information communication.By comparing the historical context of Rauschenberg and Chinese art,the author tries to find out the differences between these two art styles from the perspectives of economy development,political attitude,classes and art development and so on.In the end,by studying Rauschenberg,the author tries to explain the problems existed in Chinese contemporary art in the view of sociology.And then absorbing the beneficial parts from Rauschenberg’s experience,the thesis put forward a limited solution aiming to solve the traditional problems that cater to the market and art creation in Chinese contemporary art.. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Robert Rauschenberg, Chinese Contemporary Art, Pop Art, New Dada Art | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
