In this article,I examine a portion of mixed media pioneer Robert Rauschenberg's works to formulate my own theories of mixed media art, while using research methodology already established by visual arts institutions to analyze the logic of mixed media art, work strategies, and transformations in visual style over time.In this analysis,I will investigate the use of imagery, semiotics, and psychology in relation to interdisciplinary media art.Starting with Rauschenberg 's own creations,I analyze mixed media art by studying the origin of various visual elements and the contexts in which they were used, along with the styles of mixed media they employed. This should provide a comprehensive look at specific artistic productions and how each relates to the time period it was created in,as well as how it fits in with broader trends in modern art theory and the voices of each era.Next,I will delve into working methods and artistic strategies, investigating specific characteristics of each piece, like the choice of theme, the origin of its imagery, use of composition of space and dimension, and interactivity. Finally,I will summarize my own artistic practice, emphasizing contrasts in visual artistry that relate to different contexts, focusing on audience and rate of acceptance. The comparison between the different artistic works should create a dimension of time in the appreciation and understanding of these traditionally static artistic forms. My contribution is meant to bring about a comprehensive understanding of the logic of mixed media, while offering an analysis of my own work and process.
