The Contrastive Study On The Mind Theory Between New Treatise On Consciousness-only And The Buddhist Consciousness-only Theory

The contrastive study between New Treatise on Consciousness-Only and the Buddhist Consciousness-Only theory is an important part of modern Buddhist Studies.This paper makes a comparison of Noumenon and Phenomenon,definition of Sajkle?a and Pari?uddha,mind nature theory and practice theory between Shili Xiong and Vijnaptim?trat? theory.Firstly,this paper explains the relationship between Samyag-j??na and Tathat? on the aspect of Noumenon and Phenomenon.Shili Xiong insists that the Samyag-j??na and Tathat? are inseparable;while the Vijnaptim?trat? considers that Samyag-j??na and Tathat? are relative.Secondly,this paper explains their difference on Svabh?va-traya.Mr.Xiong advocates that Paratantralak?a?am should be left out and puts forward Neng(?)Xi(?)theory;however,Vijnaptim?trat? considers Paratantralak?a?am as the foundation.Besides,on the mind nature theory,the former agrees with the Thought of Original Enlightenment,while the latter thinks alike with the Thought of Original Silence.At last,on the aspect of practice theory,the former insists Fan(?)Ben(?)which means to attain noumenon in the way of sudden enlightenment.But the latter proposes Zhuan(?)Yi(?),which should leap from knowledge to wisdom.
