Sculpture materials and sculpture itself,they are drawing upon and improve each other.Adapt to the multivariate contemporary environment,the diversity of sculpture material itself for what it is worth us to take some time for researching.Lacquer,as an oriental unique art materials with rich texture features and multi-level lasting appeal.The combination of lacquer and model,is the continuation of traditional material sense and expend,and also a new exploration of the sculpture language.Based on the two materials——dry lacquer and Lacquer,the essay aims to analyze the materials and techniques,investigate the workmanship and the superiority in modeling concretely.In “Stone Hills”,talks about the Japanese sculptor Nobuyuki Tanaka.“Material Aesthetics” refers to the timeliness and texture of lacquer.“Style characteristic” tries to emphasize the “secluded” of lacquer.I will combined with my graduation creation and the context of contemporary ideas to do concrete analysis,try to find the joint point between traditional handicraft(dry lacquer and Lacquer)and contemporary context.
