On The Perfection Of Personality Of Characters

Staring with figures ' characters in script-writing,the paper specially and emphatically discusses and analyzes the issue on perfection of figures' characters through four chapters.In Chapter One,the paper analyzes the reason why the quality of TV plays is not proportional to the quantity although the quantity of TV plays increases year by year in the booming and vigorous age of TV plays.And this chapter also gives the answer that the scriptwriter ignores unique characters when writing script,which makes figures lack of distinctive and unforgettable characters.In Chapter Two,the paper discusses figures' personality,commonality and typicality generated from dialectical unity from the aspect of figures' typicality.Personality is the unique character different from other figures' in script;commonality is the general character caused by figures' occupation,knowledge,age,temperament;typicality is formed by dialectical unity between personality and commonality.In Chapter Three,from the perspective of epistemology,the paper concentrates on discussing the definition of perfection of figures' characters,the importance of distinctive characters,and the reason why figures' characters need to be processed perfectly.In Chapter Four,based on the understanding of some successful TV plays and personal experience in writing script,the author divides processing methods of figures' characters perfection into five types.Type One: set figures' distinctive and unique blood types and endow each role with different characters on the basis of four blood types according to four “blood type theory of temperament” in psychology.Type Two: set differences in characters among figures.If two figures with different characters of which perfection can be realized are set in the same situation,strong comparison and contrast can be formed.Type Three: establish unique relationship among figures,giving each appearance of charactercomplicated interpersonal relationship from pre-history and background and making it become effective support of perfection of figures 'characters.Type Four: show the charming of characters in intense script situation,main method of which is to boost pressure for figures.At the peak of internal and external pressure,perfection of figures' characters is easily stimulated.Type Five: based on the above four points,find out features of characters,amplify them reasonably and dramatically and make them plump and perfect constantly,in order to achieve personality sublimation with a strong effect of touching the audience's hearts.
