The ecological ethics thought of Confucian and Legalism in Zhou-Qin era plays an important role in China's ethics history,it not only has laid a deep theoretical basis for the development of Chinese traditional ecological ethics, but also provided an important practice reference to the construction of ecological civilization.Using the method of unifying the history and logic, ethical narrative method, the method of value analysis and value evaluation, and starting from analyzing documents in Zhou-Qin era, this essay will show a overall and systematic picture of the ethics thought of Confucian and Legalism in Zhou-Qin era,so as to present its relevance and integrity.Through the reappearance of the historical scene of the ecological ethics thought of Confucian and Legalism in Zhou-Qin era,we can find a simple ecological culture in the development of Zhou and Qin.This provides a good cultural atmosphere for the ecological ethics thought of Confucian and Legalism in Zhou-Qin era.In addition, the relationship between human and nature in the ancient myths and legends, the primitive worship of the Three Emperors and Five Sovereigns, and the concept of human and nature in the Xia-Shang-Zhou era are the cultural origins of the ecological ethics thought of Confucian and Legalism in Zhou-Qin era.The ecologic environment condition of Zhou-Qin era,and the destruction of the ecological environment by social development are the social basis of the ecological ethics thought of Confucian and Legalism in Zhou-Qin era.The ecological basis of "Tao",the generative theory of "Yin Yang(the two opposing principles in nature, the former feminine and negative and the later masculine and positive)and Wu Xing(five elements of metal, wood, water, fire and earth),the virtue ethics of "cultivate body and spirit to have a right idea",the ecological faith of "Unity of Man and "Nature",the ecological management thought of "yin",are the theoretical basis of the ecological ethics thought of Confucian and Legalism in Zhou-Qin era.The ecological ethics thought of Confucian in Zhou-Qin era, starting with the concept of"benevolence",expands the moral community from human to nature, pursued the belief system and moral realm of "participating in the live and multiply of human and nature",emphasized the ecological criterion of "Ban on time, limit to obtain",and develops the ecological protection decree. The ecological ethics thought of Legalism in Zhou-Qin era, starting with the "taking advantages and avoiding disadvantages "theory of human nature, reveals the deep reasons of the ecological crisis, and the ideal personality of "don't be controlled by outside",advocated the subjective initiative to control desire in the moral, put forward the Eco-economic ethics of "strengthen the agricultural production, save the expenditure, forbid the luxury ".The promulgation of the "Law of the farmland" raised the ecological and environmental protection from the moral level to the legal level.Confucian and Legalism ecological ethics thought have some similarities and differences in the view of human nature, moral self-cultivation,the decree and the law, show the characteristics of precocity and originality, symbiosis and concordance, consciousness and practicality, enlightenment and limitation. The ecological ethics thought of Confucian and Legalism in Zhou-Qin era,it not only has very important academic value to the development of contemporary ecological ethics, but also can provide important theoretical basis and practical reference for the construction of ecological civilization in china. The ecological ethics thought of Confucian and Legalism in Zhou-Qin era is a part of Chinese traditional culture which we need to in-depth study and achieve the modern transformation of traditional culture.
