The famous American novelist Don DeLillo's works generally reflect the strong interest inAmerican history, historical writing occupies an important position in its creation. Whether earlynovels or recent works, DeLillo is very concerned about the political situation and the history of American society. He often is based on the real historical events, fully develops imagination andlegend, fictional characters and story, or hangs onto the mining of historical truth,or tries to uncover the history hidden cultural and political means, or pays attention to trauma on historicalmemory which brings contemporary human spirit.Concern and reflection of the history of the United States shows a gradual evolution trend inDeLillo's works. Later throughout DeLillo's works, it is not difficult to find the historical writinghave different emphases: DeLillo's works in 80s Libra focuses on the exploration of past historicaltruth, hangs onto the blank fill true occurrence of historical events, reproduces the assassination of Kennedy's exploration of a mysterious force in the historical sequence of events, as well as thehistory and media, political conspiracy; but in 90s the creation of DeLillo, he gradually gets rid of the historical epistemology discussion or question, to try to show the history of the United Statesunder the cover of people's living conditions, reveals the Cold life and social and cultural changes during the war complex; 9/11 incident makes the United States into the new age of terror, DeLilloonce again keen to capture this significant historical event, makes its integration into the novels,focuse on the narrative of 9/11 brought to the United States ordinary family lost fear, pain, and otheremotions, shows the historical event of great trauma to the daily life of the common people, revealsthe relationship between historical memory and mental trauma, to convey the writer of the post 9/11era of people living envirornment and mental state of attention. In addition, DeLillo also devoteshimself to the creation of innovation strategies to express the reflection on history, multiplenarrative perspective, anti-narrative and use of rhetorical repetition, which is not only helpful toshow the detailed social panorama of the history but also to show the possibilities of modern historywriting. Therefore, DeLillo's work provides an effictive perspective for the observation andunderstanding of American the social culture, his American historical writing also participates in theessential component of American Literature history, which will be a far-reaching impact.
