A Preliminary Study On The Relationship Between Visual And Aural Elements In Contemporary Art

Since 19th to 20th century,contemporary art has flourished in many artistic trends,such as Expressionnisme,Cubism,Surrealism,Dadaism,Futurism etc.The richness and diversity of its language and expression has been gradually increasing as time passed by.However,for the audience,the channels of receiving information are nothing more than visual,auditory,olfactory,tactile.The most common way is the combination of the former two forms and is what we called multimedia.This paper tried to employ the different forms of dialogue between visual and visual elements in contemporary art as a clue,and categorize them into music-oriented works,visual-oriented works,dual-oriented and diversified works.Illustrate the relationship between the two via the practice of Line 9,Interstellar(2014),Piper(2016),Television works Grimm,Black Sails and Installation works.
