A Study On Sao Style Poems In The Tang Dynasty

The Songs of the South which created by Qu Yuan during the Warring States evolved into a literature style of the “Sao” style of the poem.Through the development of the Han,Wei Jin Southern and Northern Dynasties,Sao style poetry had a great development in the Tang Dynasty.It is not only possible to help us to understand the author's creative tendencies,the inner world and the times they live,but also the understanding of the acceptance of the Tang culture of Chu,and the expanding of the field of poems by studying the Sao Style poetry in the Tang Dynasty.What's more,it can help us to have an in-depth understanding of the of “Sao” style poem's development and its changing rules.This thesis takes the “Sao” style poems which were selected from “Whole Tang Poetry” as the object of study to classify and integrate the contents in “Sao” style of poems,so as to analyze the “Sao” Style poetry in the Tang Dynasty from a multidisciplinary perspective,explore the ideological content and artistic features of “Sao” style poems in the Tang Dynasty,and then enrich the study of “Sao” style poems in Tang Dynasty.This thesis consists of three parts.In the introduction,the author mainly classified and analyzed the current research of the “Sao” style poems in the Tang Dynasty.Then analyzes the characteristics of the “Sao” style poems in the other dynasties,in order to get an enhancement of “Sao” style poems in Tang Dynasty.In the main body of the thesis,the concept of “Sao” style was defined and its characteristics were summarized firstly.The concept and artistic characteristics of Sao style poems were analyzed and,the relation of “Sao” style poems to “Sao style Fu” and “Chu style of poems” was also analyzed.Through the analysis,it can be seeing that the difference between the “Sao” style poems and other genres of the poem is the using of the word "Xi"."Xi" is one of the important criteria to determine whether it is “Sao” style poems.At the same time,characteristics of “Sao” style poems in other dynasties were analyzed through the analysis of the Sao poetry.Then the “Sao” style poems in Tang Dynasty were selected and classified from “Whole Tang Poetry”.Three typical themes were analyzed to search for the artistic characteristics of “Sao” style poems in Tang Dynasty.The first type in “Sao” style poems is the depiction of prosperity in the Tang Dynasty.The second is the traditional expression of the author's emotion.The third is the description of the women's groups.The first classification which is the description of the prosperity of Tang Dynasty can be divided into two categories according to the creative subject: one is the king,the other is official.The magnificent scene of the Tang Dynasty was showed by the two-difference class' s creation.The description of the second type inherits the characteristics of the “Sao” style poems.The description of "resentment" can be divided into two parts: the description of the demeanor and the author's life insights.The third type of theme is the description of the female group which is one of the traditional themes in the Tang Dynasty poems.In “Sao” style poems of the Tang Dynasty,the description of women group can also be divided into two categories: one is the description of women who stay at home;the second is women who in the legends.This type of poem depicts different woman's images,so that it presents a different style than other genres.Through the analysis of the three types of poems,three characteristics of emotional expression of Tang Dynasty poems can be summarized: First,the sentence has changed and not limited to the unique form.Second,the use of words inherited the language of “Songs of the South”.Third,the expression of the image inherits and develops the “Sao” style.These features not only succeed and developed the “Sao” style poems,but also promote the development of poems.Creation of “Sao” style poems of the Tang Dynasty is mainly affected by two factors: One is the impact of the external environment;the second is the author's life experience.The impact of the external environment includes: political,economic and cultural policies.The different experiences of the creative subject are reflected in the content of the poems.The subject of “Sao” style poems in the Tang Dynasty shows diversity.The influence of “Sao” style poems in the Tang Dynasty on later generations,mainly reflected in “Sao” style poems in Song Dynasty.In the content of expression and artistic style,the Song Dynasty inherited the characteristics of Sao poetry.But the Song Dynasty poems have their unique style in the expression of the mood.The value of the “Sao” style poem in the Tang Dynasty is mainly embodied in four aspects.First,it reflects the cultural identity of Chu culture.“Sao” style poems originate in the Qu Yuan's poetry.In the process of composing these poems,poets not only absorbed the characteristics of artistic expression,but also integrated the description of Chu culture into poetry.Second,“Sao” style poems have aesthetic appreciation value.In the process of aesthetic appreciation,poems can achieve their “value of specific”,so as to achieve the resonance between the writer and the author.Third,“Sao” style poems have historical and cultural value.The “Sao” style poems in Tang Dynasty are not only expressed the author's emotions,but also applied more subjects to the poems,which provided a reliable material in different areas.Fourth,“Sao” style poems extended our understanding of the poet's spiritual realm and helped us have a deep understanding of the inner world of the Tang Dynasty poets.In the conclusion,the thesis makes a summary from the content,classification,artistic practices,effects.“Sao” style
