Zootopia was put forward by Walt Disney Pictures in 2016.It was an animated Hollywood movie blockbuster.Once it came to screen,it received high attention from the scholars.Though the characters in the movie are all animals, their behaviors are human being's behaviors. So the movie is also a reflection of human being's society. The description of the different kinds of animals and their relationships in the movie is also a reflection of interpersonal relationships in real life.Under the framework of Idealized Cognitive Model, the study took conversations which were segmented from the movie Zootopia and adopted research methods of both qualitative analysis and comparison of observation to discuss three research questions:1.What personified interpersonal relationships are reflected in the movie Zootopia?2.What Idealized Cognitive Models(abbreviated as ICMs)are reflected in the movie Zootopia?3.Do the personified interpersonal relationships in the movie match the relationships of ICMs respectively?Research results show that the movie Zootopia reflects three major personified interpersonal relationships:the interpersonal relationship between children and parents, which means the relationship between Judy and her parents;the interpersonal relationship between Judy and Nick as friends, and the interpersonal relationship between Judy and her colleagues. The three interpersonal relationships all have the matched interpersonal relationships in ICMs.However, some personified interpersonal relationships obey while others deviate from the ICMs.Those deviations reflect the differences between interpersonal relationships in daily life and interpersonal relationships in an idealized way.
