Looking back at China's animated films that have been widely disseminated and watched in recent years,there is no outstanding advantages when compared with foreign animated films.There are many reasons to explore here,while the domestic animated characters is often criticized by the audience.This article focuses on the impact of an aesthetic style on the character of the animation film,to analyze and explain this deficiency.As the undertaker of the narrative in the animated film,the animated character is often the carrier of the emotional resonance of the audience.It is not difficult to find some common characteristics of the times in the creation of animated characters,especially in the "appreciation of ugly" characteristics.This paper focuses on the "appreciation of ugliness" consciousness and its concrete expression in the concrete embodiment of creative practice,and attempts to start from the Angle of the animated characters,analyze the gap lies in animation creation,in order to make changes to the concept of animation creation in China.This study begins with the combing the origin and evolution of the ugly consciousness from the history of aesthetics and art,it is found that the concept of "appreciation of ugliness"has been widely accepted with the turn of traditional aesthetic.Secondly,analysis and traced the changes in the condition of the characters in the animated film,and then resulted in today's animation works that more and more diversified characters image appeared.Thirdly,according to these phenomenons,from the perspective of new media culture,animation production skills and aesthetic characteristics of animation art,to excavation the reason why the animation audience aesthetic psychology presents dynamic and changes to the "appreciation of ugliness".Finally,from the changes that concept of "appreciation of ugliness" brought in the creation,aiming at the problems of the character of animation in China,we put forward the constructive idea of pluralistic concept in the process of creating character.The most important thing is that the "appreciation of ugliness" as an extension of the aesthetic perception,an extension of the aesthetic perspective,it requires the creator should also have the courage to acquire a dialectical "Appreciation of ugliness" and " Self-denigration"spirit.So as to support animation practice activity in China.
