Abstract: At present, more and more game companies start to make female oriented games as female participation in gaming is increasing and women play a prominent role in the game market. However, with a huge boom of women entering the industry, studies on influences of these games towards women can hardly be found. In addition, studies on influences of mass media towards women's body are mostly concentrated on social media, television and magazines, as for how the spread of games effects, no corresponding study has been carried out. Therefore, based on the above two points and from semantic systems of wording and picture, this study explores whether female oriented dress up games will make player produce more attentional bias towards experimental material about body.In the first experiment the dot-probe task is used in combination of eye-movement observation, to respectively test the choice reaction time and to observe eye-movement measures between 28 girls who didn't play dress up games and 25 girls who palyed dress up games for 20 minutes. The experimental results and data analysis show that no obvious attentional bias towards wording about body can be found by choice reation time test through dot-probe task from participants who played dress up games. Hence,we intuitively analyzed four eye-movement measures: fixation time, fixation time percentage, fixation counts and fixtuation counts percentage, and found that the participants who played the dress up games, paid more attention on body related words. In contrast, such discrepancy is not reflected from the participants who didn't play the games. Thus in this way the hypothesis of experiment is intuitively verified. In the second experiment, we presented the pairing of photoshopped body pictures and neutral stimulus, and respectively tested the choice reaction time and observed eye-movement measures between 28 girls who didn't play dress up games and 25 girls who palyed dress up games for 20 minutes, through dot-probe task and eye-movement observation Results show that the choice reaction time is just as same as that in the first experiment, which means the hypothesis is not verified. Then we still intuitively analyzed eye-movement measures and results show that the participants who played the games displayed significantly greater attentional bias towards fixation time percentage, fixation counts and fixtuation counts percentage, which verified the hypothesis. From these two experiments the influences on dress up games towards player's two semantic systems can be clearly seen through eye-movement statistics, thus it proves that the dress up games can make player produce attentional bias towards body related stimus. On the other hand, it indicates a limitation of hypothesis of dot-probe task. For this reason, the eye tracker will be more popularized to directly examine the results of eye-movement, attention and other factors.
