A Comparison Of Vocabulary In Harbin Dialect Between The Old And The Young

This paper takes the Harbin dialect as the research object, studies the differences of vocabulary in the dialect between old and young, and makes a comprehensive and systematic description of the differences between young and old vocabulary in the Harbin dialect, revealing the law of change from the old vocabulary to the young vocabulary. This article mainly uses the field investigation method, surveys with questionnaires,and also uses interviews,conversations to conduct field surveys. The research uses Society Linguistics and Cultural Linguistics to find out the causes of the differences between old and young vocabulary,to explore the characteristics of dialect variation.The paper is divided into five parts. The first part is the introduction, which introduces the main situation of Harbin and Harbin dialect. The second part is based on the results obtained in the field survey to sort out the corresponding relationships between young and old vocabulary, and the words with the same meaning in the young and old are classified according to the quantity correspondence. The third part classifies the differences between the young-style and old-style vocabulary in Harbin dialect, from the perspectives of structure and semantic type, analyzes the changing rules from the old-style vocabulary to the young-style vocabulary. The fourth part analyzes the causes of the differences between young-style and old-style vocabulary, from the aspects of language contact, social change, culture and education, and analyzes the characteristics and laws of the evolution of dialect vocabulary.This paper argues that the main reason for the differences between the old and young vocabulary in Harbin dialect is the influence of Mandarin. Harbin dialect and Mandarin are very similar, and it will be more and more confused by Mandarin, dialect features will be gradually reduced. But the dialect features completely disappear need a long time, and the three provinces of the Northeast dialect internal differences are small,Harbin dialect is also under the other regional dialects' influence, coupled with the increasing emphasis on the protection of dialects, the dialects of Harbin dialects,especially the young dialects, will maintain the dialect vocabulary and Mandarin vocabulary coexistence in the future.
