The Study On The Vocabulary Of Shanxi Linfen Dialect

Since1980s, the vocabulary of Shanxi dialect researches have made fruitful achievements, butfrom the specific dialect piece or point, the research is not much. Therefore, the thesis will regardthe vocabulary of Linfen area dialect as the object of research and describe it thoroughly andcomprehensively, so as to reveal the vocabulary characteristics of Linfen dialect and provide somereference value for the study of Shanxi dialect.The thesis mainly regards the lexicology and Mr. RuLong Li’s the theory of characteristicphrases of dialects as the whole text of the theoretical guidance. And it also regards the dialectvocabularies which collect from the literature material and practical investigation as the researchobject, and I will describe the vocabulary of Linfen area dialect from two aspects. On the one hand,it centers on the similarities and differences of vocabularies between the Linfen dialect and themandarin.The similarities mainly describe from three aspects which are the word formation, wordformation methods and the etymology. It explains the differences of them, mainly from thepronunciation, the syllable number, word formation morpheme, word formation methods andmeaning. On the other hand,I investigate the Linfen dialect from the diachronic view. And thesevocabularies are divided into three categories which are the succeed words, the varied words andthe innovated words, so as to show the history evolution. Finally, from the thought and methodpoint, I put forward some suggestions on how to learn mandarin for the Linfen dialect users.The thesis is classified into five parts.The first part we summarize the research on Linfenregion and its dialect, separately introduce the geographical situation, the ownership and thesummary of the research achievements of Linfen dialect. The second part centers on the similaritiesof vocabularies between the Linfen dialect and the mandarin which describe from three aspects. Thethird part explains the differences of them, mainly from five aspects. The fourth part I investigatethe Linfen dialect from the diachronic view. The fifth part, we put forward some suggestions onhow to learn mandarin for the Linfen dialect users.
