The Exploration And Analysis On The Movement Of Workers,Peasants And Soldiers Learning Philosophy During The Latter Half Of The 20^th Century

Between the year 1957 and 1978,China had raised a huge movement in the ideology and culture field which we called the Movement of Workers,Peasants and Soldiers Learning Philosophy today.This movement had attractived a large range of people who involved in it,including intellectual,social scientists,leaders and common people.This movement lasted nearly thirty years and it had a great influence in China's philosophy history.This movement has five causes: The first one is the improvement of workers' cultural level;the second reason is the master's status of workers after the establishment of the Republic of China;the third one is the Great Leap Forward;the last one is that Chairman MAO attaches great importance to philosophy.This movement experienced five phases which are tentatively proposed,gradual consolidation,continuing rise,making an orgasm and Fading fast.Its main learning content is classicalMarxist philosophy,Chairman MAO's philosophy,Chairman MAO's quotations and so on.This movement has some positive significance such as: the workers' theoretical thinking and the ability to change the world have improved a lot through this movement;and it also aroused the workers' interest to improve and develop themselves,and it has made a great contribution to the location of Marxism philosophy in China.Inevitably it has many limitations such as its one-sidedness,fragmentation,vulgarization and its trend of taking philosophy as instruments.
