Aesthetic Research On The Design Of Map Information

The aesthetic problem of map information not only affects the quality of map,but also directly affects the realization of the basic function of map.This paper uses the method of design aesthetics,On the one hand,it explains the aesthetic phenomena and aesthetic problems in the design of popular and living map information;on the other hand,by combing a large number of map cases,we can refine their aesthetic value,enrich the aesthetic theory,and deepen the study of aesthetics;In addition,the theory is applied to practice and realize the new creation of contemporary map aesthetics.First of all,this paper starts with the history of aesthetic development of map information,to compare the ancient and modern maps of China and the west,and to discover the root of the aesthetic difference lies in the degree of reason and the cultural concept.The rational point of view defines the object of modern map aesthetics,the rational feature is the aesthetic foundation of modern map,the rational processing of information is the prerequisite to ensure the clarity,effective communication and aesthetic of the map information;Cultural ideas provide reference for the analysis of the aesthetic principles of modern maps,setting up the complete aesthetic operation structure of human and map with the aesthetic bidirectional characteristic: through the realization of functions,maps arouse people's mental images and internalize them into psychological experiences,this process of objectification of the subject produces the aesthetic experience of the human being,with this aesthetic experience,the subjective understanding,selection and treatment of the objective geographic information is the process of the subjective creation of the object,thus forming the aesthetic value of the map.Finally,the above content is applied to the aesthetics experiment of map information design under the new media technology,and the new development in the organizational structure,functional aesthetics and form aesthetics is discussed.The organizing methods and aesthetic characteristics of map information obtained in this paper,it can not only provide a new theoretical basis for future research,but also provide an aesthetic methodological guidance for the design of map information.
