| The paper aims to explore the status of adolescents’ empathy and its related factors. On that basis, design empathy training program and evaluate the practical effect. This study has three parts. Studyl 1460 students from middle school, senior high school and vocational school were surveyed, to explore the current situation of adolescents’ empathy.Study 2 Explore the relation between empathy and family, school. Study 3 Design a series of method to improve empathy, two classes from senior high school were designed as experimental and control groups, and assess the effect of the empathy training for experimental group.The results are as follows:1. The empathy score of adolescence followed normal distribution.Compared with emotional empathy, cognitive empathy score of adolescence was higher. The empathy of adolescence is in general at a medium level.2.Girls’ IRI-C empathy scores were higher than boys’. IRI-C’s cognitive empathy score of students from city was higher than students from country. IRI-C’s emotional empathy score of non-only child was higher than that of single-child. IRI-C’s empathy score of student cadre was higher than that of those who were not. IRI-C’s empathy score of vocational students were lower than that of middle school and senior high school students.3. There was a significant correlation between IRI-C’s empathy scores and FAD score, My Class score. Family function and class environment had ane effect on the development of empathy. Problem solving, classmate relation and competition could predict perspective taking. Problem solving, Order of discipline and classmate relation could predict fantasy. Behavior control and roles could predict personal distress .Classmate relation could predict empathy concern. Emotional empathy and cognitive empathy has different development mechanism.Roles, behavior control and classmate relation had greater influence on emotional empathy, while problem solving, behavior control classmate relation and order of discipline had greater influence on cognitive one.4. The effect of training was significant, and empathy was improved by short-term training course. However, some dimension of empathy,such as perspective taking, was not easily improved in short time. |
