Weird child story is a vary popular fairy tale.The characters are born strangely,their outward are different forms of normal person,and they are intelligent,full of magic strength.Those type of story is lively and interesting,full of magic imagination?People loves to read them.Chinese weird children stories have thumb children,jujube children,son of cattle,face children and other images.Their stories started on magic birth,then they take adventures and got married,bring a happy ending to the lonely family.This paper based on previous' research,using two series<Chinese Folk Story Integration>as research material,summed up six types of stories,and presents the basic plots chain,analysis the variation and cultural connotations.Weird children are born from the thumb,knees,animals,plants,or their parents give birth by swallow things,dreamed things,pray to the gods.The way to birth is very strange,express people's ardent expectations to have a child,implies people's magical imagination for the fertility,contains their naive conception of heaven and man,reproduction concepts and folk beliefs.They are born with extraordinary function and wisdom.Son of frog crying to shake the land,find treasures to complete the test of marriage;son of cattle come back to life several times,they have some invisible power to protect them;the thumb child using their ingenious to punish bad person.Weird children changes from animal forms to people forms,and their magical power gradually disappear,human characteristics and strength start to rise.Folk tales and people's lives are inseparable,people uses the symbolize of fecundity or the folklore meaning of the animals,plants to build a strange image,add plots with the adult ritual and the wedding ceremony.Weird children through death to life are similar to the adult simulated death than newborn style.Animal peeling into human,their deformation just like the ritual symbol of clothing.In addition,the traditional concept of fertility and gender differencesbetween men and women also affect the weird children stories profoundly,highlighting the male's dominant position in the social and economic life.
