Study On The Chinese Story Destiny's Child

The story of Destiny's Child is a type of story with a long history widely circulated in many ethnic groups and regions in the world.According to the classification method of the historical geography school,it can be classified as a composite story of AT460,461 and 930.The total number of different articles collected in China and abroad is more than 700,of which there are more than 200 in China.The story is about a kind young man who struggles,explores,and changes his life.The young man was extremely poor,his life was unsustainable,or his marriage was blocked because of poverty,so he decided to go out and "find good luck":ask the Buddha(sun,fairy,etc.)how to change his destiny or how to find the treasure.On the way to his destination,three passers-by(animals or plants)who were in trouble helped him with food and lodging,so he agreed to help them to solve their problems;when he saw the Buddha(sun,fairy,etc.),he encountered a limitation "ask three but not ask four",so he abandoned his question and found the answer for others;on the way back,he told the person who asked the question and got wealth(gifting,wife,etc.)as a reward,bringing to good luck and a happy life for himself.Through the twists of this story,it shows philosophical thinking about the ancient cultural motif of destiny.The thesis focuses on Destiny's Child and uses theoretical methods such as philology,story typology and motif analysis to deeply study the narrative characteristics of the children of destiny,the relationship between characters and philosophical implications,state the relationship between "man and destiny" from multiple aspects,and explain the realistic meaning and contemporary value of the story.Hope this paper can provide a representative case for the study of story and inherit the ancient wisdom for life practice.The thesis is divided into three parts:The first part is an introduction,explaining the significance of the research from two dimensions of theory and reality,and combing previous research status at home and abroad from four aspects:the collection and arrangement of stories,research on the origin of the story,research on the theme of the story,and case study or comparative research.On the basis of summarizing experience and gaps of previous research,this paper points out the key points of the research and the theoretical methods used in the research process.At the same time,this part also gives a simple definition of the core concept of this paper,"Destiny's Child".The second part is the main part,including three chapters:The first chapter is the main type of the story of Destiny's Child.According to the all kinds of index classification and the plot structure,this chapter discusses the characteristics of the three subtypes:"asking the Buddha","looking for dowry" and "the lucky fellow".In the subtype "asking the Buddha",there is a unique way of character naming and a unique plot "ask three but not ask four",while the subtype "looking for dowry" is combined with other story types frequently,and the subtype "the lucky fellow"reflects a strong foreign color.These features with unique cultural connotation are the foundation of discussing the text meaning and practical value.The second chapter is about the inner power of Destiny's Child.The most outstanding character trait of Destiny's Child is that he changes the destiny for himself and others by pursuing the destiny and passing the test.By discussing the action and cultural identity of Destiny's Child,this chapter emphasizes his qualities of perseverance,courage,kindness,honesty,especially his courage to fight and change the destiny,which embodies the spirit of the Chinese nation.The third chapter is the study of the cultural significance of Destiny's Child.In the story,Destiny's Child are both the supplicant,the recipient and the helper.In the moral choice of helping others or helping oneself,he showed the value concept of "water of the TU,when springs with reportedly"," Helping others before helping self ",and the pursuit of the moral quality of "truth,kindness and beauty",which has positive practical significance.The fourth chapter is about the relationship construction of Destiny's Child.The ethical relationship between Destiny's Child,the person who ask for help and the person who solves problems shows the construction of the relationship between people and themselves,people and others,people and the world.At the same time,Destiny's Child and the person who ask for help helped each other and share the same destiny;as a helper,the person who solves problems symbolizes the collective power in the community,providing a useful reference for mankind to solve the predicament of destiny.The third part is the conclusion.The epilogue summarizes the research thought and conclusions of the paper,and puts forward the prospect of the future study from the perspectives of philosophy,poetics and history.
