The Study About Xianghua Endangered Phenomenon Of Gaofeng Guzhang

Guzhang Xianghua is surrounded by Southwest mandarin,Miao as well as Tujia languages.The language vitality of Guzhang xianghua is increasingly endangered especially because of the permeation of Southwest mandarin.The paper research Guzhang Xianghua’s endangerment by the example of Gaofeng.The paper has five chapters.Introduction:Introduction of Guzhang’s geography,history,language of research,status reviews,research contents,research significance and research methods.The first chapter:research has been done to discover the intergeneral heritance of Guzhang dialect and its developing tendency of using situation as well as the proportions of language-users by adopting the evaluation index and system of UNESCO with the combination the actual situation of Guzhang dialect.Moreover,we trying to pretict the development of language vitality by adopting the evaluation index of minority with the combination the actual situation of Guzhang.The second chapter:study has been carried out to find the overall attitude of users of Guzhang dialect and to analyze the language attitude’s three elements and its variations in social grading,gender,age,language ability,national,education,occupation and mother tongue of Guzhang dialect.The third chapter:through discussing the language ability in different social gradings and language use as well as the language’s three elements of Guzhang xianghua,we want to analyze the phenomenon of Guzhang xianghua’s language identity.The fourth chapter:to discuss the reasons that cause the endangerment and to find ways and solutions to protect the Guzhang dialect from language users,linguists,NGO and the government.The fifth chapter:put forward the views about the standard,level,type of the endangered language.
