Journey to The North is the poem written by Feng Zhi discussing his city and life experience in Harbin Bin city in 1920s. Many researchers believe this indicated his writing style changed from Romanticism to Modernism. This thesis focuses on using the method of psychology to analysis Feng Zhi's mental structure, according to the discussion of geographical space written in his poem. In general, during the period of 1920s, Feng Zhi had the character of super-ego, which appears in his description of city expression. In this poem, the image of Harbin exists in a special way with poet's psychological projection, meteorology and city architecture in all works were emotionally. This thesis is divided into 3 parts. The first part talks about the city image in the poem,This part analysis the natural images and city scenery in the poem, and it is believed the narrator of Feng Zhi in the poem was the image of outsider with a resistant way.The second part focuses more on one research about Feng Zhi's character. Feng Zhi was an emotional and bloody-tied conscious poet who had a very sharp feeling. In his writing, he used his emotional ways and feelings to experience the modem city. From the Journey to The North, we believe Feng Zhi had used some mental mechanism unconsciously in his writing to protect his ego, such as psychology projection. Actually the image of terrible weather and hopeless people reflected poet's hopeless himself. The third part compares Feng Zhi's Sonnet with the Journey to The North, which was published in 1940s. This thesis believes Feng Zhi kept his emotional thinking ways until 1940s, but his works became more philosophical and humble. The reason he transitioned into a great change was because he finally discovered himself and integrated his personality, which surpassed himself in the nature of Kun Ming.
