The Application And Creation Of The Printed Language Of Mezzotint In "Withered Lotus"

The mezzotint is a form of print making with unique artistic la nguage.Its artistic language continuous evolutioning and developing all the time.The mezzotint has created a new style for creative print making.The most distinctive feature of the mezzotint is the delicate content,the gray tone,and colours changings.In this article,I gave a brief overview of the mezzotint and explained the emergence and development of this unique art form in China.With the development and application of new materials,the mezzotint language has been greatly enriched and expanded,which made the trad itional mezzotint language continuous developing.The mezzotint artists gradually got rid of the single language topic through the constantly exploration.The mezzotint language became more flexib le.The artists found the meeting point with the local culture,The mezzotint language became more Chinese aesthetic orientation and cultural connotation.In my work related to “The autumn lotus”,I choosed the subject and finally focused on “The autumn lotus” works of print making language exploration.From the significance of the subject,picture composition,tone arrangement of light,artistic conception and the exploration and discovery of aesthetic thoughts,I understood the mezzotint art language of gradually.In practice,I experienced the unique artistic charm of the mezzotint language.
