If language is the carrier of culture, then the translation is the bridge of two culture.Translation is not only a language activity, but also a means of communication,it makes it possible that people from different culture, having different religious beliefs and different habits are able to communicate and share their ideas. As a Japanese interpreter student,I deeply feel the serious sense of mission in this practical activity of translation.Only through a large number of repeated practice activities, the appropriate use of translation methods and translation skills, can we complete the translation properly.I chose the NHK documentary "kimono in graduation" as a material of this translation practice, and then completed this practice report. The report describes my practice of simulating alternate interpreting, including: First, the task description;Second, the task process;Third, the case analysis;Fourth, the summary of this practice activity. The first chapter of the task description includes the topic, the purpose and significance, summary of the original text and the specificity of translation tasks. The second chapter mainly involves the preparation process, the translation process and the post-translation proofreading. This translation is a Japanese-into-Chinese translation. The third chapter mainly focuses on four aspects: the addition and subtraction translation, literal translation and free translation, the comparison of the original subtitle version and my translation, the mistake in original translation. Each chapter lists some examples sentences. The fourth chapter includes two parts: the difficulties during translation process and their solution.Through this interpreting practice activity,I am deeply aware that to become a qualified translator, not only to have a high level of Japanese knowledge,a deep knowledge of Chinese knowledge is also essential. In addition, paying attention to professional vocabulary learning, doing a large number of translation practice to practice the usual translation theory to exercise our translation skills and gain experience, are both very helpful to us to grow into qualified translators.
