During the period of anti-Japanese war,in order to hold the most of Japanese forces in China,the United States hoped that the Chinese people can unite as one to resist Japanese aggression by supporting Chinese people to anti-Japanese positively and involving in the adjustment of the relationship between the Kuomintang(KMT)and the communist party of China(CPC).However,the huge cultural differences between the two countries may give rise to potential cultural conflicts and unnecessary misunderstandings and there were many mistakes made by officials represented by Hurley who were sent to China to solve the problem between the two parties.All of those have a bad influence in Chinese people anti-Japanese,post-war Chinese politics and the benign development of Sino-U.S.relation.Therefore,this paper will take the debate between Hurley and the U.S.official in China as perspective to analyze the change of U.S.diplomatic policy to China in post war and the profound influence in Chinese politics and Sino-U.S.relation after war.This paper is divided into four parts.The first part will discuss the reason why Hurley and his colleague were neatly divided over the policy toward China.This paper mainly through three aspects which are the good relationship between China and the U.S.in tje early time,both parties to establish the alliance in the period of World Anti-Fascist and aids feom America to analyze the causes of differences.Clarified the change of American policy toward China in the end of the war was mainly as a result of objective factors such as differences in Sino-US interests.The second part introduces the differences bewteen Hurley and the United States Embassy policy with regard to China's development process.It is mainly around with the relationship bewteen Hurley and Stilwell,the KMT-CPC negotiation led by Hurley and the different views of China.And discussion of the debate between Hurley and American diplomat in China(especially those familiar China situation of China hand)is how step by step to effect American policy of towards China which exert great influence on Sino-US relationship.The third part focuses on Hurley and American diplomat in China climax of the divergence on policy toward China.This paper will reveal the debate that is the policy towards China among American domestic by "TWO.TWO EIGHT Telegram" storm and Hurley resigned from U.S.Ambassador to China.This debate caused of results was American far-right conservatism forced on American at more reality of diplomatic policy of reactionary and it made the traditional isolationism and the ideology of anti-communism more worse.Finally,American realism diplomatic policy be changed.A number of American diplomats opposed to one-sided supporting Chiang Kai-shek and asked the White House attaches great importance to Chinese Communist forces.But they were persecuted.This is not only their own personal tragedy,and the irreparable damage to the national interests of the United States.The fourth part mainly discusses the change of U.S.policy toward China and its impact on Sino US relations.America's China policy in post war changed not only has a significant effect on the relationship between Kuomintang and the Sino US relations,but also affect the stability in the Asia Pacific region.And focused on the change of policy towards China,and finally the KMT government headed by Chiang Kai-Shek blindly believed that they can rely on the United States and the U.S.military can help them resolve the conflict.The mediation is fruitless and the Chinese civil war will come soon.The United States ignored the Chinese revolution and the Chinese people's desire for independence and prosperity,so its failure to China's policy and lost the friendship of the Chinese people.The Cold War in the Asia Pacific region was launched.After the founding of new China,the relationship between the United States and the Communist Party of China was at odds in a long-term and seriously affected the stability of the Asia Pacific Region.
