The most significant feature of Gannan Tibetan area is the Tibetans' belief in Tibetan Buddhism. In this case, the political power combined with the religious power, and they formed a regime called integration of religion and politics. The two most representative regimes of integration of religion and politics in Gannan Tibetan area are the integration of religion and politics in Labrang Monastery and in Zhuoni Tusi, respectively. The essential difference between them is whether the religious power is above the political power or not.The study of the interactive relationship between Labrang Monastery and Zhuoni Yang Tusi can to some extent show the difference and the competition of the relationship between religion and politics in Gnanan Tibetan area.In the regime of the integration of religion and politics of Zhuoni Yang Tusi, the political power is more perfect and took up a dominate position, that is the political power is more superior than the religious power. While in Labrang Monastery, the power of politics and religion was held by Jamyang Shepa,so the religious power is above the popltical power. Thus, the competition between Labrang Monastery and Zhuoni Yang Tusi is regarded as the rivalry between the power of religion and politics. The fact that Zhuoni Yang Tusi was the underdog in the competition again demonstrates the political power has exceeded the religional power in the local society. The religious power in Labrang Monastery is not affected the political power, therefore it is also beyond the limit of region.
