Face recognition is a necessary ability for life and sociality.Substantial information can be obtained via face recognition such as emotion, age, gender, race, and mood. There is an own-group bias in the face recognition, which includes the own-age bias, the own-gender bias and the own-race bias.Numerous researches have already supported the own-age bias or the own-gender bias respectively. However,in the information provided by the face, age information and gender information are physiological information, which is more be completely separated. For example,in real-life,adults are difficult to identify children's gender, but can quickly identify adult's gender. In this study, adult and children's facial pictures were used as the stimulate materials, which is divided into configuration information and feature information by Gauss fuzzy and windowing technique, and the matching task was used as the research paradigm. This study is to discuss the own-age bias, the own-gender and the effect of the facial features and configuration information in adults to recognize the adult and children's picture.2 experiments are included in present study, and college students were tested.Experiment 1,used the matching task was to explore the own-age bias and the own-gender bias and the different of eye movement on the identification of calm faces in adult subjects.Experiment 2,used the matching task was to explore the own-age bias and the own-gender bias and the different of eye movement on the identification of emotional facial expressions in adult subjects. The results show:(1)under the condition of calm faces and emotional faces, showed the own-age bias effect;(2)under the condition of configuration information and characteristic information, showed the own-age bias effect;(3)under the condition of feature information of emotional facial expressions, showed the own-gender bias effect when male subjects identify adult faces;(4)when the subjects identify the face gender, more likely to use feature processing mechanisms, especially eye features;(5)when the subjects recognize the faces, showed "Face the center effect";(6)under the condition of feature information, subjects are more interested in the area of interest in the eyes and nose. When the feature information is the eye, they paid more attention to the eyes, and then focused on the nose;when the feature information is the nose, they paid more attention to the nose, and then focused on the eyes;when the feature information is the mouth, they paid more attention to the nose.
