Intervention And Construction:the Study Of Star Poetry Journal In 1980's

On October 1979,Stars,which ceased to publish in the Anti-Rightist Movement,resumed publication.It was an important transformative period,and during which,many activities of Stars left traces and records in Chinese modern poems' history.This thesis tempts to show Stars' position and attitude about the science of poems in1980 s by collating its activities and analyzing the relationship between this journal and development of poems in 1980 s.Introduction.It analyses the literary background and research situation in 1980 s,discusses the history of Stars from the relationship among its development,the tendency of poems,national policies,and the times.It explores the research space on the base of Stars' research situation and builds a foundation for thorough and subtle researches.The main body includes four chapters.The first chapter studies on the relationship between Stars and the tide of modern poems in 1980 s.The renaissance of poems started from the end of 1970 s.When the principle “literature must serve the politics” declined,Stars was the first one to concern with the old generation's creation and provide the platform for poets to express themselves.At the same time,Modernism Poem Movement which swept1980 s also left traces on the development of poem journals.Lyrical poets' movements and pioneer poems received certain concerns on Stars.This chapter tempts to find Stars' theme—while supporting realistic poems,the magazine also focuses on modernism poems—through its attitude toward returners,the tide of lyrical poems and post-lyrical poems.The second chapter collates Stars' activities in 1980 s and discusses its contribution to production and consumption of poems.Stars communicates with readers and poets through poem lectures,correspondence classes and critics of poems;realizes its interference with poem production by popularization of knowledge and guidance of poem writing.What's more,Stars encourages the broadcasting of poems and constructs classical in the process of consumption by setting various awards and columns of poem schools.The third chapter studies on Stars' introduction about overseas and Taiwan poem resources in 1980 s.The amounts of translation and introduction of foreign poems vary in different years,which reveals that Stars suffers interference and influencefrom various factors.However,abundant foreign poems open another window for Chinese people to learn about other countries.Furthermore,among concerns of Taiwan modern poems in 1980 s,Stars is critical to systematical introduction of Taiwan poems because it first discovers the theory of Taiwan poems—classical and modern—and introduces them into the mainland where many poets are deeply influenced by this theory.The fourth chapter is the conclusion of former three chapters.Stars completes its construction of poetic theory in 1980 s within all the activities mentioned in the former chapters.At that time,Stars' consistent concern of realism and summon on classical poems reflect its persistence and leading on traditional poems.The last part is the conclusion of Stars' historical significance and value in creation of poems,consumption and transformation of poems,introduction of foreign resources and construction of theories.1980s witness plentiful poem journals and flourishing career.Located in Sichuan,a prosperous place during poems' development,Stars explores how local poem journals can be involved in poems' advances and construction of poetic viewpoints.It employs a complete new perspective to peep on 1980s' poems and literatures,and starts tracing on 1980s' poem field and its related literal phenomena from the standing point of a journal.
