Research On The Metal Artistic Design In Public Space-Wrought Iron Technology Practice

With the deepening development of knowledge economy in the new century and the arrival of the Age of Big Data of the Internet+ and Internet of things, the process of urbanization in China is entering a harmonious development centering on natural and social humanistic environment and putting emphasis on the characteristic development of regional differences on the basis of the 30-year construction results of reform and opening up. Global perspective should be used as a new trend to mold the urban culture visualization in the overall planning of regional economy. The generalized public space as mentioned here is not merely a geographical concept. More importantly, it refers to the people who enter the space of relations, and the social space where people participate, communication and interact with one another. These activities generally include daily cultural and leisure activities initiated by the public and the grand political rally from the top level to the bottom level. The practice and research of the metal artistic design mainly explore the possibility of the language of the metal design to spread, communicate and interact in the public space. It is not only a materialized enclosed entity in the public space, but also the dynamic evolution with the development of urban culture. In the construction of the city culture, the diversity metal artistic design is the symbol of times for the industrial city. It enlightens the history and future of the city, vividly tells the story of the city, records the development of the city, meets the needs of mass cultural behavior, and carries on the cultural tradition and innovation of the city, which is also the integral component of the cultural personality of the city. While the country has the overall concept of value, cities also have their own regional characteristics of culture value and concept from top to bottom.On the basis of the background of the times and the context of social development mentioned above, I will put my emphasis of the metal artistic design on the modern sculpture modeling language, architectural space form, and organism combination of theoretical research on the urban culture and practice of metal material technology so as to explore the advantages and limitations, which helps to seek more possibilities for the future development of metal artistic design.The paper includes the background and context of development for public space, professional dimensions and characteristics of research on metal art, and practice process of metal artworks and preparation of equipment conditions. By combining the process of the metal artistic creation designed by myself, it summarizes the dividing line between technology and art in the process of implementation, discusses the new perspective that theory and practice of metal art bring to us, and forecasts the future that professional research and industrial age will be faced with.The research method of theory and practice is to read the theories of different categories of metal art and technical documents, communicate repeatedly with teachers and technical craftsmen, and then to apply, practice and conclude over and over again. During the period of learning, I carried out on-the-spot investigation of urban public space, inspected the metal sculpture factory in the outer suburb of Beijing, and practiced in Quyang factory of sculpture works in 2012. Now I'm engaged in the creation and practice of traditional ironwork technology and direct metal welding in Zhangqiu city of Shandong province, which aims at seeking the creation language in the dialogue between metal art and public space to accomplish the learning objective of master of arts and lay the foundation for the future professional development.
