| Wet collodion process as an ancient photography technology is daubing a a kind of photosensitive liquid onto the glass,Exposure imaging before the base plate is dry,Then the developing,fixing.Its special image form is different from digital photography.It's very attractive,although its operation method is complex,every step need patience.You should wash away the irritable anxious,let yourself immersed in.This process is an awesome sense of mystery and ritual.It's not a pastime for people seeking novelty toys.With the rapid development of modern electronic and digital imaging,people can easily press the shutter,photography is no longer distant,digital photography and other mainstream shooting forms make people think less of life.easy to delete if you don't like it,the first thing when you take a photo is retouching,uploading.The expression of slightly impetuous and numbness is swallowed sensitive cognition of people's life.So unique artistic of wet collodion process is precious.Not only it is the art,more than one hundred years ago,but also its incomparable sense of beauty and special imaging carrier.You can take it in your hand,watch carefully,enjoy and touch it to feel its unique charm.Wet collodion process also has own language expression like other photography technology.In this paper,I will use experiment capturing to study wet collodion process,combine with my collodion works “Ambivalence” to discuss how to use this method to find a more relevant way to express inner emotional expression of people.The appropriate emotional guidance,the shape of light and shadow,multiple exposure and other artistic forms with repeated practice and experiment.Then to explore how the wet collodion process to use its own material characteristics,photographic characteristics,imaging effect,with a unique language to explain the emotional art of portrait photography to bring people the different sensory experience.To display its irreplaceable artistic value. |
