Drug addiction is defined as a symptom of recurrent or chronic poisoning caused by repeated use of a dependent or addictive drug, which accompanied by one or more mental disorders.Among all kinds of mental disorders, impulsivity is thought to be closely related to the initial drug experimentation,club-drug use, continuing drug use and relapses.Dawe and Loxton divided drug-related impulsivity into two dimensions: reward drive and rash impulsivity.According to the point of view of Gary's reinforcement sensitivity theory, the reward drive is that who would show the differences in sensitivity when they gain or close preferences stimulation, meanwhile, rash impulsivity refers to an individual's ability to make a decision without assess the nature and the possible consequence of the stimulus timely and accurately.Previous studies have focused on the exploration of the correlation and causality between the single impulsivity dimensions of single drug,by comparison, researches on the difference of impulsivity dimensions caused by different types of addiction are still rare.In this study, college students and female drug addicts were tested by using two classic paradigm of delay discounting task and stop signal task,to explore the different dimensions of impulsivity of different types of drug addicts and non addicts.Finding:(1)the two dimension of impulsivity can coexist in the same addiction personality;(2)the impulsivity of drug addicts is higher than that of non-addicted subjects in the two dimensions;heroin addicts are more impulsive than those who were addicted to methamphetamine in the dimension of rash impulsivity;the club drug addicts are less vulnerable to drug abuse than the traditional drug addicts in the dimension of rash impulsivity;multi drug abusers are higher in two dimensions of impulsivity than the single drug addicts;(3)the rash impulsivity of addicts increases with the increment of the time of addiction, but it's not obvious in the reward drive.
